Ziplock Booms
Ziplock booms are the worlds most advanced fishing booms. Simple to use, yet devastatingly effective, they allow the angler to present natural or artificial baits in a totally unique way. The patented Ziplock system allows the angler to lengthen or shorten hook lengths at will, without ever having to cut and re-tie the line again, allowing you to keep up with ever changing tides and conditions. The Ziplock boom also allows you to fish hook lengths as long as you like, giving your bait the freedom to move far more freely and naturally in the tide or current, locking into position when the required trace length is reached, but automatically disengaging when a fish is hooked, sliding down towards the fish, reducing the trace length and allowing easy landing of your catch.

Ziplock Whisker Booms
A large Pollack taken on a 300mm Ziplock whisker boom over a deep mid channel wreck.
This boom is ideal for
presenting live or artificial baits on long flowing traces ( flying collar
rigs ), over the deepest wrecks or reefs. The extra length of the boom stops
the trace from tangling with the main line as you lower it to the sea bed.
Again an ideal wrecking boom, slightly smaller in length for ease of use, and designed for wrecks and reefs up to 150ft deep. This boom also makes an ideal down rigger for trolling baits and lures.
TOP TIP: The 230mm Ziplock Boom makes an excellent downrigger for trolling. Using this method you can stream your artificial lure, or live bait way out behind the boat, and then set it to fish at any depth. Put the boat into gear, hold the boom and let the lure drift back away from the boat. I've fished Bass Bandits 80 yards back before!! When you’re happy, lock the boom into position and lower it to the depth you want to fish. The lure is swimming way back, away from any disturbance, but directly in line with the weighted boom at the set depth. When a fish hits the lure the boom disengages, and slides all the way back to the swivel, tied 6ft above the lure, magic!!!
TOP TIP 2: Use cable ties to attach the weight to the boom, then cut the boom tubing down so it is just a bit longer than the weight, this just keeps things nice and tidy. With the weight fixed like this, it acts like a keel, and also prevents the lead from spinning!! If you’re switched on you can rig up several booms with different sized weights, so you can fish different depths.
150 mm (6") Ziplock boom
Designed for inshore reefs and shallow wrecks where a long trace will present your bait far more effectively than any normal boom.
Ziplock Running Booms
Ziplock Heavy-weight 20-40lb class Running Boom
A 22lb Cod taken using a Ziplock heavy weight running boom and a 60ft long trace. The extra long trace allowed the big bait to move much more in the tide. Note how the boom has collapsed leaving only a very short trace length , allowing easy landing of the catch.
14" Mega-Wreckers
These booms are 14" long so stop any tangles on the long drop to the sea bed, but more importantly these booms are made from a thick walled tube so they don't bend up like a stick of liquorice as you lower your bait down.
The most impressive feature of these booms is the pivot end. This unique feature allows the boom to stand out at 90% to the main line when fishing, but when you get a pluck or take from a pollack, cod, coalfish or bass, the boom pivots downwards creating a straight line between you and the taking fish. This means you have a straight line from the fish directly up to your rod tip. You feel everything, the fish feels nothing, brilliant!!!

Uni-Booms
These 6” Uni Booms are ideal for either up-tide or down-tide fishing. Their extra length ensures traces are kept tangle free, especially when punching a bait out uptide from the boat. The unique pivot end gives the ultimate in bite detection, ensuring you feel the fish, but the fish doesn’t feel you.
Tubi-Booms
These 14" Tubi-booms offer the best value for money available. Long enough and strong enough to be used on the deepest of wrecks, presenting baits without tangling these budget booms are a must for all serious wreck anglers.
